On Oct 4, 2024 the CCO found Mehran Tabrizi to have sexually abused a patient.
He was also formally cautioned about usage of restricted medical titles, finding he may have breached the Medicine Act 1991 regarding his unqualified usage of medical titles "Doctor of Osteopathy" and "DO" regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The only valid medical license he previously held was for chiropractic.
On March 4, 2025 Mehran Tabrizi's chiropractic license was officially revoked for sexually abusing a patient.
The basis of the complaint to the CCO were sexual assault allegations. The CCO was provided evidence of these allegations and was aware the complainant would be seeking criminal charges.
The CCO chose to omit the sexual assault allegations as their statues require license revocation for any sex between a member and patient.
On March 25, 2025 Mehran Tabrizi was criminally charged with six counts of sexual assault by the Toronto Police Service.
